Voting will be held tomorrow for 150 zilla parishad seats across the state - Angul, Boudh, Jharsuguda and Malkangiri districts being the only exceptions. Compared to 2012, the BJD lost 166 seats, while the BJP gained 221 seats and the Congress lost 58 seats. At most other places, it has been relegated to the third position, Jharsuguda being the only exception where it is set to form the zilla parishad. In west Odisha, out of 189 zilla parishad seats, the BJD has bagged only 51. We concentrated more on sarpanch, ward members and samiti members and did not focus on zilla parishad elections.
