He has been identified as 44-year-old Abdur Rouf, a farmer by profession. The incident occurred at Boiltol Village in Jhenaigati Upazila on Friday, said Jhinaigati police OC Md Mizanur Rahman. "Rouf went out to get his cattle inside the cowshed as it started to drizzle in the evening. He got struck by a lightning and died while being taken to hospital," Hatibanda Union Council's Chairman Md Nurul Amin Dola said quoting witnesses.
