Forty-seven people have sustained injuries in the accident reported from a Kushtia highway in Mirpur Upazila early on Saturday. The bus, with more than 50 passengers on board, headed to Kurhigram, said Kushtia highway police's Sub-Inspector Abdul Jabbar. "The bus lost control and fell on a roadside ditch after reaching Shatmail village. Locals rescued the injured and took them to the Kushtia Sadar Hospital," he said. The accident occurred as the driver dozed off, said some of those injured.
