Joe Lieberman’s “The Democrats and Iran” (op-ed, Jan. 6) makes all the right points about why we should all be happy about Gen. Qasem Soleimani’s demise. It’s a little ironic that the former senator still thinks he can appeal to his “fellow Democrats.” Aren’t these the same folks who pushed him into running as an independent by financing a primary opponent? He knows better than most that the modern Democrats are the grandchildren of George McGovern and the children of Saul Alinsky.
