Libyan MPs plan to ask UN to replace Stephanie Williams

A group of Libyan members of parliament are seeking to replace U.N. Advisor on Libya, Stephanie Williams, over her “disrespect for decision of the legislative authority i.e. the House of Representatives,” said Issa Al-Araibi, an MP. In a memorandum to be sent to the presidency of the House of Representatives, Al-Araibi and other lawmakers will ask the House to formally address U.N. Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and make a request for replacing Williams. Al-Araibi criticized Williams for her disrespect for decision of the legislative authority i.e. “It would be because of her because she did not care about the Libyan-Libyan agreement that produced the new executive authority led by Fathi Bashagha and the twelfth constitutional amendment.”
