The activities of the Libyan International Forum for the blue economy kicked off on Saturday at the Misrata Free Zone. The forum is organized and supervised by the General Union of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture, in cooperation with the Libya Trade Network and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. The forum aims to highlight the importance of the blue economy in supporting international trade and developing maritime transport systems and logistics services, through panel discussions and international contributions that enhance investment opportunities and consolidate Libya’s position as a promising regional hub in the field of the blue economy. During the forum, a joint cooperation agreement was signed between the General Union of Chambers and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport. The agreement aims to exchange expertise, support specialized training programs, and explore procedures for opening a branch of the academy in Libya.
