The first Libyan–Bosnian business forum has opened in Misrata, bringing together officials and business leaders from both countries to boost economic cooperation and explore joint investment opportunities. The event, held on Tuesday at the Libyan Iron and Steel Company, was attended by members of Misrata’s municipal council, alongside representatives of economic institutions and private sector figures. A statement by the municipality said the forum aims to strengthen partnerships between the public and private sectors, facilitate the exchange of expertise, and support economic development. According to the organisers, the programme includes panel discussions and bilateral meetings between companies to identify opportunities across key sectors and to build sustainable economic relations between the two sides. Local officials highlighted the importance of greater economic openness and international cooperation to advance development and mutual interests.
