According to the report, the United States Treasury announced that it is targeting a network of companies and individuals in Lebanon, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Liberia and other countries that are linked to Hezbollah financier Adham Tabaja. The sanctions will further freeze assets in the U.S. and prevent Americans from doing business with any of the six individuals and seven companies. The U.S. has designated Hezbollah a terrorist organization that also plays a major political role in Lebanon. “We will be watching cautiously for those who want to use Liberia as their hideout at the detriment of the innocent. Our national security agencies should also be vigilant in tracking down those believed to be linked,” Nathaniel Johnson, Jr., a resident of Monrovia speaking to the GNN noted.
