The founder of the Liberia Diabetes Center located on Front Street in Monrovia, has disclosed that the Liberia Diabetes Center, will shortly begin a research study on the prevalence of diabetes in Liberia. Momoh said, while the research study is to identify the prevalence of the disease, it is also intended to further establish the medical and social needs of people with diabetes in Liberia. He said, the two months of research on the prevalence of diabetes will be funded by the Liberia Diabetes Center with support from affiliated partners. ‘I’m very excited about this opportunity, which is coming at the time when the Liberia Diabetes Center has for the past three years provided the needed support to the Liberian diabetes community through its awareness, testing, and nutritional program.
