The Proclamation for Thanksgiving Day calls upon citizens, residents, religious leaders, and organizations to gather in their places of worship to express gratitude to God for continuing unity and protection over the nation. According to a release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Proclamation aligns with the 1883 Act of the National Legislature that established Thanksgiving Day. It emphasizes the significance of dedicating a day for national gratitude, acknowledging God’s grace, mercy, and ongoing preservation of life amidst challenges over the years.
