Liberia: Former Chief Justice Gloria Scott Named Law Day Keynote Speaker


Monrovia – The Liberia National Bar Association has chosen former Chief Justice Gloria Musu Scott as its keynote speaker for this year Law Day celebration. Kennedy L. Yangian [email protected],comThe former Chief Justice will speak to the cross-section of the lawyers on Friday, May 3, on the topic, “Implementation of the 2014 Code of Conduct Act implementation and challenges”. “This Law Day celebration will be marked by the honoring of some of our long-time legal practitioners who have practiced from 25 years and above and have reached the threshold in the legal profession,” Livingstone added. Those named by the LNBA Secretary to be honored on Friday are, former Chief Justice Henries Cooper, Cllr. Chief Justice Francis Korkpor and the three current Associate Justices of the Supreme Court are expected to take part in the celebration which will be the first law day celebration under the three-year term of Cllr.
