The Liberal Studies subject under the senior secondary education will be renamed, with the grading system changed to show only pass or fail from the previous seven levels with Level 5** being the highest and level 1 the lowest. Secretary for Education Kevin Yeung Yun-hung said the current Liberal Studies has attracted heated debates and has been stigmatized. “The subject will be renamed and revamped with refined content. As for education on naitonal security, Yeung said authorities are working on providing more resources for school teachers. School teachers may need to attend training programs for up to 30 hours.
