Letters: Why ‘none of the above’ looks like a good choice for American voters


So, “emerging thinking” has determined that the current program for building new logistic support ships for Canada is unacceptable. All ships built offshore are being outfitted in-country where most of the high value cost is incurred. A carbon tax is a tax on consumers and on many of the essentials of life. And, just like a sales tax, once imposed on production and goods and services, a carbon tax just provides more revenue for increasingly bloated government bureaucracies. Carbon production will not need to be taxed.
