ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Mian Saqib Nisar has asked to let the poor benefit as the pensioners have to make many struggles for getting the pension. He gave these remarks while presiding over a three-member bench of Supreme Court (SC) during the course of hearing of National Highway employees’ pension case. He asked, “How can one cope with his requirements within Rs900 pension. The court dismissed the appeal plea of the ministry of finance and upheld the services tribunal’s decision for granting pension benefits to the employees of National Highway. Services tribunal had decided to allow pension benefits to the employees but finance ministry had resorted to SC against this decision.
