More than half (54%) of the 4,455 disabled workers surveyed by Unison in June said they would benefit from home working in the future. Unison's survey found that half of disabled staff worked from home during the pandemic, with 73% reporting that they felt more or as productive. They were also less likely to be exhausted and in pain from long commutes to work, the union said. Just 5% said they received help from the Government's Access to Work scheme, which funds adjustments for disabled workers. Those surveyed included disabled teaching assistants, NHS administrative staff and police support workers, the union said.
