Let’s not mistake malice for careerist incompetenceIt also confirms what many now fear – we have fallen under the political direction of inept careerists rather than those answering a call to do what is best for their country and fellow citizens. We must not make the error of ascribing to malice that which is adequately explained by incompetence. We are however assured, only this week, by some of our politicians that no lies are involved in such a scenario. Since then and before Covid, Ireland had recovered to balance the books and unemployment was reduced to just over 4pc.
