After 10 years as one of Leslieville’s favourite Irish pubs, the Ceili Cottage is closing its doors. Patrick McMurray of Leslieville's Ceili Cottage says he’s closing the Irish pub and looking for another location for a new restaurant. “You can’t close a book, or make a new chapter, unless you’ve actually written it.” McMurray said he’s shutting down the Ceili Cottage at Queen and Leslie Sts. Among oysters and beer, the pub is well-known for having, for a time, a yurt filling its patio in winter. McMurray said he’s looking for another location — he’s eyeing a spot down the road from the current location, but finds the west end of the city interesting, too.
