An employee of United was sent to watch Derby training before the two clubs clashed earlier this season. In a statement, the EFL said: “After finalising its investigations into the incident at Derby County’s training ground on Thursday, January 10, the EFL reached the conclusion the conduct undertaken by Leeds United in observing opponents’ training sessions, is a breach of Regulation 3.4. The EFL have also introduced a new regulation which prohibits clubs viewing an opponents' training session in the 72 hours prior to two sides facing each other.
