The Waterford native joined Celtic from Manchester United in the summer on a long-term deal, O'Connor one of three summer signings of young Irish players, along with Luca Connell and Jonathan Afolabi. But Celtic have now agreed to allow O'Connor move to second-tier side Partick for the rest of the season, and if his paperwork clears in time he could make his debut away to Arbroath on Saturday. Partick are in a battle to avoid relegation to Scotland's third tier.
