Lecico sanitary ware - Company's websiteCAIRO – 13 April 2020: Lecico - Egypt closed its subsidiary Lecico for Ceramic Industries in the new city of Borg El Arab, for a period of 14 days, due to COVID-19 cases.Lecico confirmed with the Ministry of Health, that two of its workers in Lecico for Ceramic Industries in the new city of Borg El Arab, have tested positive for COVID-19.“We are closing this factory for two weeks with all staff sent home to self-isolate before returing to operations,” the company added in a filing to the Egyptian Exchange (EGX).Lecico believes it must continue to operate as much as possible within these changing parameters to protect its customers business and ensure Lecico’s continuity commercially and financially during and after the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the filing.“All other production sites remain in operation. Lecico for Ceramics represents approximately 35% of the Group’s sanitary ware production capacity,” it noted.Lecico - Egypt operates within the materials sector focusing on construction materials
