It’s a deserving contract for the 27-year-old Holl, who was looking at unrestricted free agency in July. Travis Dermott will be a restricted free agent this summer, while Tyson Barrie, Jake Muzzin, Cody Ceci and Martin Marincin will be unrestricted. In 38 games, Holl has one goal and 10 assists while moving seamlessly into a top-four role alongside veteran Jake Muzzin, often being used as a shutdown pair. More recently, with Muzzin nursing a broken foot, Holl has been paired with Marincin. The Leafs, 12-4-1 since Sheldon Keefe became coach, did not hold a morning skate on Tuesday with the 5 p.m. local start at Xcel Energy Center.
