Guentzel has 98 goals and 102 assists in 243 games since making his NHL debut in 2016-17, the year he helped the Penguins win the Stanley Cup with 13 goals and eight assists in the postseason. The surgery was performed at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital by the team physician, Dr. Dharmesh Vyas, and Dr. Ivan Tarkin of UPMC Orthopaedic Trauma Surgery.
