A senior lawyer accused of inappropriate behaviour at his office Christmas party has been found dead at the foot of cliffs. Geraint Thomas, 47, who was married with two children and was a partner at the multinational law firm Eversheds Sutherland, was found on December 18 in south Wales. It is understood that he drove to a clifftop car park at Southerndown near Bridgend shortly after visiting the firm’s London office, where he was informed that he was the subject of an investigation after formal complaints by female colleagues. The substance of the complaints against Mr Thomas remains unclear. Staff at the law firm were sent an email telling them of his death and offering them “support and advice” if needed.
