The minister said this to reporters after meeting Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain and other justices of the Appellate Division on Monday noon. When asked about the reason for his visit to the chief justice, the minister said: “I often come to the chief justice’s office. I have talked about the Supreme Court circular. The circular said it is unprecedented that many electronic and some print media have reported and published articles on sub judice cases. The circular created confusion and also drew criticism from journalists’ organizations and law reportersFollowing the circular, Law Reporters Forum (LRF), a Supreme Court based journalists' organization, expressed shock and demanded withdrawal of the circular.
