“The government has decided to hold quick trial of all sensational murder and rape cases to ensure highest punishment for the offenders in shortest time,” he said while talking to reporters after an inauguration programme held at Judicial Administration Training Institute in Dhaka. He said: “The government will instruct the prosecution to place argument before trial courts seeking highest punishment if evidence is found against such offenders.”The five-year-old girl from Jomirhat area under Parbatipur upazila of Dinajpur district went missing on Tuesday afternoon. She was recovered from a nearby field in critical condition the next morning. The girl, who was raped by her neighbours, is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
