The detainee Litu was arrested early Wednesday from Nrishinghapur village under Sadar upazila. Jhenaidah Sadar police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Harendra Nath Sarker said: “Acting on tip-off at 4am, police raided an abandoned house where Litu was hiding.”“Sensing presence of police, Litu hurled two hand bombs and police opened fire for defense. Litu sustained bullet injury at that time.”“later police recovered three bombs and a knife from the spot, and Litu was sent to Sadar Hospital,” the OC added. School girl Puja was stabbed by stalker Litu for refusing a proposal for love affairs in the district town on Monday evening.
