Laura Muir claimed her first global medal for Great Britain after clinching 3,000 metres bronze at the World Indoor Championships – after a six hour taxi ride. The 24-year-old took a taxi from Scotland to Birmingham on Wednesday as the snow caused transport chaos and finished third behind victorious Ethiopian Genzebe Dibaba and Holland’s Sifan Hassan.
