Las Vegas' NHL team is one step closer to ending its identity crisis. The league's newest expansion club filed trademarks for several team names, including the Las Vegas Desert Knights, according to SportsLogos.net. Other names include the Las Vegas Golden Knights, Las Vegas Silver Knights and variants of the aforementioned names without "Las" in them. Moniker Privacy Services, the company that bought the internet domain name to NHL.com, recently acquired several domain names that feature the name, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The team is scheduled to begin play in the 2017-18 NHL season at T-Mobile Arena on the Las Vegas Strip.
