Lanka Hospitals rejects reports of Maldivian swine flu patients


NewsLanka Hospitals PLC have taken to their official Facebook page to address stories being spread via social media that Maldivian patients diagnosed with swine flu are being treated at the hospital. The statement posted on their FB said Group Chief Executive Officer of Lanka Hospitals Dr. Prasad Medawatte rejects claims that the hospital is treating Maldivian swine flu patients. The statement is as followsGroup Chief Executive Officer of Lanka Hospitals Dr. Prasad Medawatte categorically rejects claims circulating in social media that Maldivian patients diagnosed with swine flu are admitted to Lanka Hospitals and have died. Lanka Hospitals wishes to announce that only 12 Maldivian patients have been admitted currently at Lanka Hospitals, out of which 10 are surgical and 2 are medical patients; none with swine flu. The GCEO adds that Lanka Hospitals continues to serve it’s patients without any disruption
