IPOH: A landslide damaged a 100m stretch of the Jalan Simpang Pulai-Cameron Highlands road near here. State Public Amenities, Infrastructure, Agriculture and Plantation Committee chairman Abdul Yunus Jamhari said the incident was believed to have occurred on Saturday (Oct 19) at about 12.30am. He said the damage to the side of the road caused a 20m-deep damage to the hillslope. “I understand there will be a lot of cars during the weekend, ” he said in a statement. “I urged motorists to be careful when passing through the area, ” he said, adding that a contractor had been hired to do the repair works.
