Land firm director’s fraud case moved to November

A court yesterday adjourned the Sh2 million fraud trial of a land buying company’s director after his lawyer failed to turn up, as he was engaged in another court. Chief magistrate Heston Nyaga allowed his application, saying that for a fair trial, the defence lawyer who is on record should be given time to be in court and represent his client. After paying, Wambugu erected a fence, only for it to be demolished by strangers who forced him to leave since the land had another owner. He reported the matter and after investigations, the suspect was arrested. The case will be heard on November 24.
