Rabri’s husband Lalu, who is the RJD chief and also a former chief minister, was not present. Their son Tejashwi Yadav, who was deputy chief minister of the RJD-JDU-Congress coalition that collapsed on Wednesday when Nitish resigned, also criticised the governor’s decision. Lalu is in Ranchi in connection with cases related to the fodder scam that had occurred during his term as chief minister from 1990-97. The RJD’s Jha said more than 45 legislators of the JDU were ”uncomfortable” about the party’s alliance with the BJP-led NDA.
