The Income Tax department on Tuesday conducted raids at over 22 places in Delhi and Haryana over alleged Rs 1,000 crore benami land deals involving RJD chief Lalu Prasad. April 5: Senior BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi alleges that Lalu Prasad influenced Patna zoo soil deal. April 7: Modi dares chief minister Nitish Kumar to dismiss deputy chief minister Tejashwi Prasad Yadav and health and environment minister Tej Pratap Yadav since the soil supplied to the zoo was sourced from land belonging to them. Modi alleges the company, formed in 2006, had land worth crores of rupees spread across Patna. Demands inquiry in the quid pro quo behind sealing the costly deal at a throwaway price of Rs 4-5 lakh.
