Lalmonirhat Superintendent of Police Abida Sultana confirmed the matter to Dhaka Tribune. In the video that went viral, the OC was seen cleaning his hands with sanitizer before accepting Tk10,000 from some people in connection with filing a "false case", according to several media reports. Lalmonirhat Superintendent of Police Abida Sultana said that a three-member investigation committee was looking into the incident.
