For the second time this season, the National University Lady Bulldogs shot down the Ateneo de Manila University Lady Eagles 17-25, 25-23, 22-25, 25-21, 15-13 in the UAAP Season 79 women's volleyball tournament at the FilOil Flying-V Center in San Juan Wednesday. The Lady Bulldogs snapped the Lady Eagles' eight game winning streak and bolstered their chance of getting in the Final Four. Jhoana Maraguinot top scored for the Lady Eagles with 18 points but committed crucial errors in the rubber set. The Lady Bulldogs thus moved to solo third with a 7-4 card while the Lady Eagles are still on top with a 9-2. Ateneo will next face the still winless Adamson University while NU tackles UP on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
