This PBA board resolution is specific for the SEABA event, meaning league officials will craft separate measures for the FIBA Asia Cup or other events to be joined in by Gilas. Also set this year is the Southeast Asean Games in Malaysia which runs in conflict with the FIBA Asia Cup. Gilas may tap a separate set of players for the Malaysian meet. June Mar Fajardo, Japeth Aguilar, Jayson Castro, Calvin Abueva and Terrence Romeo are expected to lead the new Gilas team.
