Glen Bennett is the new Labour Party New Plymouth candidate. The New Plymouth seat is currently held by National MP Jonathan Young. "I'll be out on the streets, at the markets, and being present telling the messages and the policies of what the Labour Party have achieved. Bennett said he had hung around the edges of politics but has been an official Labour Party member for five years. Justice Minister and former Labour New Plymouth electorate candidate Andrew Little said he was absolutely thrilled having Bennett as the candidate.
