MANILA, Philippines — The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board on Tuesday announced that it would suspend seven units of bus liner Partas following its involvement in a tragic collision in La Union. LTFRB Board Member and spokesperson Aileen Lizada said the 30-day preventive suspension order against Partas would be issued on Wednesday, December 27. On Christmas day, a bus operated by Partas collided head-on with a private jeepney along a national highway in Agoo, La Union. She said a police report recorded that the La Union accident happened at 3:30 a.m. on Monday. The LTFRB did not specify the buses covered by the preventive suspension but Partas runs a Pagudpud, Ilocos-Norte to Manila route.
