The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) on Monday ordered a provisional P1 fare rollback for jeepneys in Regions 3 and 4, and the National Capital Region. “The board hereby resolves, as it is hereby resolved to order a provisional rollback of PUJ minimum fare to nine pesos for the first four kilometers for Regions 3, 4, and NCR,” the resolution reads. ADVERTISEMENTThe current fare hike on jeepneys is at P10 after the board approved in October a P2 fare hike in the said areas. However, Delgra noted that the provisional rollback was due to the directive of Transport Secretary Arthur Tugade to the LTFRB last week Monday. “Because of the continuous rollback in the price of fuel, Secretary Tugade directed us to implement a motu proprio fare decrease,” Delgra said.
