BANGKOK, Thailand— Newly crowned Miss Universe Catriona Gray will not only bring Philippines pride and honor, she will also receive perks and prizes from the Miss Universe Organization and its sponsors. Gray, who succeeded Miss Universe 2017 Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, gets to take home the iconic phoenix crown designed by by the former official jeweler of Miss Universe, Mikimoto & Co., Ltd. It was used by Miss Universe organization from 2002 to 2007. It was Miss Universe 2002 Oxana Fedaroba of Russia who had the opportunity to first wear the phoenix crown while Miss Universe 2007 Riyo Mori of Japan was the last crowned with it. Alongside The Miss Universe Organization, she will plan how to achieve her goals on the national and global scale,” the MUO said.
