MANILA, Philippines — Major train lines in Metro Manila will halt their operations during the observance of Holy Week from April 18 to 21. The suspension in operations would give way to maintenance works for the Light Rail Transit Lines 1 and 2 as well as the Metro Rail Transit-3. The management of MRT-3 earlier announced that the maintenance break this year is longer than the shutdown in 2018. Both LRT lines will have normal operations from Holy Monday (April 15) to Holy Wednesday (April 17). The Philippine National Railways has yet to release its schedule for the Holy Week.
