BigstockThe woman sustained 80 percent burn injuriesA 35-year-old housewife, set ablaze by a stalker in the town of Kushtia, has died while undergoing treatment at the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). The victim identified as Zulekha Khatun was the wife of Mehedi Hasan from Sahen Nagar area in Mirpur upazila of Kustia. The victim, who sustained 80 percent burn injuries, died at the hospital around 12:30pm on Friday, confirmed Kushtia Model police station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Golam Mostofa. "The body has brought back to Kushtia General Hospital for autopsy," said Golam Mostofa. On April 29, Zulekha Khatun, who lived in a rented house in Komlapur area in the town of Kushtia, was set ablaze by the landlord's elder son Rokunuzzaman.
