WASHINGTON - U.S. President Donald Trump's son-in-law and advisor Jared Kushner on Monday defended his contacts with Russian officials during and after the presidential campaign as "proper." Kushner stressed that he had not colluded with Russian officials and knew no one else who had. He added that he had "no improper contacts" during the campaign and did not rely on Russian money in his business dealings. Kushner said he had "hardly any" contacts with Russia or Russian representatives during the campaign and presidential transition as he managed contacts between Trump's campaign and foreign officials. The investigation has overshadowed US-Russian interactions and increased attention on dealings between Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin.
