Kunlavut is off to a perfect start to the year after winning the season-opening Malaysia Open -- his first-ever Super 1000 title -- on Sunday. Chasing her fourth title in India, the 30-year-old made short work of Mia Blichfeldt, knocking out the Danish player 21-16, 21-11 in 34 minutes. Another Thai women's singles player, Busanan Ongbamrungphan, also exited the tournament after losing to Chen Yufei of China 11-21, 13-21.
