He said this would be the first time election staff handle a general election and a referendum simultaneously within a single voting process, making preparation and coordination especially important. The simulation was conducted to identify potential weaknesses in voting, referendum procedures and vote counting, allowing the EC to refine operations ahead of polling day, Mr Phasakorn said. The EC urged voters to follow polling procedures closely to ensure a smooth voting process on election day.
