Kulbhushan Jadhav, on death row in Pakistan, granted permission to meet wife

2 Jadhav was sentenced to death by a Pakistan Army court on charges of spying. Indian national Kulbhushan Jadhav, sentenced to death in Pakistan for alleged spying, will be allowed to meet his wife on "humanitarian grounds", the Pakistan Foreign Office said today. Pakistan claimed the Indian national was involved in "terrorist activities" in the restive Balochistan region. Islamabad, however, all of New Delhi's requests, claiming that since the Indian national faces espionage charges, Pakistan is not obligated to grant India consular access to him. On April 10 this year, a military court in Pakistan convicted Jadhav and sentenced him to death.
