Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today announced the revision of its highest 28 per cent GST tax slab. While addressing the media after 23rd GST Council Meet in Guwahati in Assam, Jaitley said that about 178 items have been moved from 28 per cent to 18 per cent GST slab. As many as 13 items have been moved from 18 per cent to 12 per cent, six items moved from 18 per cent to 5 per cent, eight items from 12 per cent to 5 per cent, six items from 5 per cent to nil. The Goods and Services Tax (GST), implemented "from July 1, has five tax slabs of 0 per cent, 5 per cent, 12 per cent, 18 per cent and 28 per cent.
