He said a police report was lodged over the matter on Saturday (Sept 15) and his statements were recorded. Chong alleged that there was a conspiracy against him ahead of the Perak DAP elections on Oct 14. Recenty, a picture of a man in bed with an unidentified woman went viral on social media, supposedly posted by the man's wife. Dismissing the post as pure fabrication, Cheong said that he would leave it to the police to find out the truth. It has been speculated that there are two factions within Perak DAP – one led by state chairman Nga Kor Ming and his cousin and state party adviser Datuk Ngeh Koo Ham.
