Kuala Kedah-Langkawi ferry services stopped for two weeks

PETALING JAYA: Passenger ferry services from the Kuala Kedah jetty to the Kuah terminal in Langkawi have stopped operations for 14 days. The Marine Department said the services ceased from 12.01am Sept 11 until midnight on Sept 25 following the enhanced movement control order (MCO) imposed in 28 areas in Kota Setar. "Passengers who want to go to the Kuah terminal will need to use ferry services from the Kuala Perlis ferry terminal. "The Marine Department expects a rapid increase in commuters at this terminal within the two weeks," it said in a statement on Friday (Sept 11). Those with enquiries can contact Kuala Perlis Marine Department duty officer Khairul Azhar at 04-985 4160 or 019-589 6881.
