General News of Saturday, 28 February 2026Source: GNASome students participating in the Dormabin Inter-Circuit Games were injured in a head-on collision between a cargo truck (VR 342-15) and a private car (GT 1109-18) on the Tokuroano–Dormabin road in Krachi East Municipality, Oti Region. The accident occurred on Friday as the students were returning from the Adokwanta Municipal Inter-Circuit Games competition. Information gathered by the Ghana News Agency (GNA) indicated that the cargo truck, which was carrying the students, collided with the private vehicle. The use of a cargo truck to transport the students after the games has sparked controversy in the municipality, despite the availability of school buses. Some residents who spoke to GNA accused sports authorities of failing to arrange safer transportation, citing the availability of buses belonging to Dambai College of Education (DACE), Oti Senior High Technical (OSTECH), Yabram Community Day Senior High School (YACOSH), and Asukawkaw Senior High School (ASUSEC).
